A Message from Our Principal

October 2024

Greetings St. Kieran Catholic School Families,

Tea with the Queen of heaven invitation

Hello fall! October is Respect Life Month! We are reminded of this through praying the Rosary as often as possible. Our goal is to pray the Rosary daily. Our Lady of the Rosary is October 7. St. Francis of Assisi is October 4. On October 2, we celebrated our school Mass in honor of the Holy Guardian Angels. Fr. Ben’s homily taught our Catholic scholars the importance and power of each of our Guardian Angels. He encouraged all of us to acknowledge our Guardian Angel through prayer. We will have our annual Blessing of the Animals on October 7.

St. Kieran Catholic School is filled with the love of Jesus. We are so blessed to participate in weekly Mass, First Friday Adoration, special Masses devoted to Feast Days, Blessings of the Animals, Advent, and Lent. Our Pastor, Fr. Ben, is dedicated to our spiritual well-being and the teachings of Christ. St. Kieran Catholic school is unique in that our church parishioners are dedicated to supporting our school.

We believe in a rigorous academic experience for every child to thrive and to reach their full potential. Communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and Catholic values are the heart of an educational and spiritual program. Our scholars have an important role and legacy to carry once they move on to high school and college. Our Catholic young ladies and gentlemen have a critical role to proclaim and to carry out their mission and beliefs as taught through the Gospel and Scriptures.

We are well into our first month of school. Our first reporting period has ended, and progress reports have been sent home. We are halfway through quarter one. Our kindergarten class is learning how to do school; our girls and boys are learning social and emotional development. They are making tremendous strides. Our eighth grade class is preparing for high school. Our young ladies and gentlemen are visiting campuses, preparing for entry exams, working on their capstone projects, and getting the most out of their years here at St. Kieran. Our student council and class representative are now elected and eager to plan spirit events.

Our PTG Trunk or Treat committee is hard at work preparing for October’s event. Our jog-a-thon committee is also planning and preparing for our November turkey trot, and our gala committee is amid gathering donations and auction items for February’s gala.

We continue to update and beautify our facilities. Our summer projects are many, including the creation of a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Music) lab. This is a significant renovation to our campus. We are so excited to move "full STEAM ahead" on this innovative project. We look forward to its grand opening this fall. Thank you to all our sponsors, including Mrs. Dianne Gonzalez. Our grand opening is coming soon.

Thank you, St. Kieran families, for your support and dedication to Catholic education. We greatly appreciate you!
